The Assistant Manager is part time, 6-10 hours per week, with the majority of hours on Market Day, Saturdays, 7am-1pm, with other duties as time allows.

Compensation: $15 per hour

Duties on Market Day may include, but are not limited to:

• Assist with setting up the market, assisting vendors as needed
• Collecting sales data, stall fees, SNAP tokens, and other market materials or information as applicable.
• General assistance to vendors and customers
• Take down and clean up of market site

Other tasks may include: 

• Attendance at monthly Market Manager meetings
• Assist with design and implementation of special market events 
• Assist with data collection and  reporting 

Required

• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds without assistance
• Saturday availability
• Community-focused
• Follow instructions and work within deadlines
• Work on multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred knowledge, skills, & abilities

• A passion for local food, farmers, and the co-creation of community
• A familiarity with the SNAP program
• Knowledge of inequity in food systems
• Experience with Excel, Google Docs, MailChimp
